Summer Update

Here's a brief update on what's been happening and what's coming. I'll send you a more comprehensive report in August to share exciting news about the new ministries we're developing in Burundi, Cambodia, and Kenya this fall and winter.

Since the beginning of the year was jam-packed on the travel calendar, I ended up having much of the summer free from international travel, allowing me to focus on planning, logistics, and family matters. BTW, the Greece and Turkey Bible teaching trip was amazing, and the March trip to Burundi has launched several of our students into starting new training groups for other indigenous leaders! Multiplication is happening!

Lately, I've been focused on individual mentoring, coaching, and care for local pastors. I have also been doing online mentoring one-on-one with three international leaders. I was also blessed to lead training at a church staff retreat for their executive team.

The other HUGE news is that my wonderful daughter, Jesse, got married in July! Mission accomplished, it was a wonderful day, and we're celebrating the addition of a new son-in-law. My friends in Kenya and Burundi told me that I got totally ripped off because I didn't receive a dowry of at least 10 cows.

Prayer Requests

• Pray for my buddy, Allen Coleman, and me on our annual motorcycle ride to nowhere. We'll be out on the road and need your prayers for safety and health between July 8 and the 21st.

• Pray for planning, logistics, and increased funding for the first 3 to 4 trips coming up. I’m handling a lot of this administration for our teams, and it’s a big job with many moving parts.

• Pray for our rental property. We had a bad slab leak that caused significant damage (potentially tens of thousands of dollars), so we’re working on numerous repairs at that location. Pray that all things come together well with insurance, and that the work is done quickly and effectively.

As promised, in approximately 6 weeks, I'll provide you with a more comprehensive update about the exciting ministry that's on the horizon beginning in September and continuing through the new year. God is doing great things!

Thank you for all your love, support, prayers, and care.
